Registration upon arrival
Upon their arrival to Azerbaijan, foreign students must be registered upon a place of stay.
For this purpose, a student himself or management of the place of stay (apartment, hotel) should submit the following documents to the State Migration Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan via www.migration.gov.az or email firstname.lastname@example.org or in person.
- a copy of student’s passport and
Unified Migration Information System registers the applicant upon place of stay and informs about it within 1 business day.
Foreigners and stateless personsare registeredfor the following periods:
- Persons arrivingupon visa-for the period of stayindicated on visa;
- Persons arrivingunder visa-free regime–for 90 days.
· No state fee is requiredfor foreigners’ and stateless persons’ registration upon place of stay.
When a student changes a place of stayhe/she should getregistered upon new place of stayin the aforementioned way.
