Frequency : Every day Monday to Friday, approximately 6 hours a day
Internship is a great opportunity for students to apply the concepts acquired in the classroom to real-world work experiences as well as to learn and contribute in a professional environment.
Western University’s Career Center has been partnering with a number of private and public companies and created mutually beneficially partnerships to help its stuents to acquire valuable work experience and enhamce their career prospects.
During the internship period, a student's ongoing supervisor, who is appointed by the respective university department, contacts employers regarding each student's assignments, attendance and work performance.
Upon completion of the internship, the student will be required to make a formal presentation to the University Internship Commission. The presentation combines research about the field where the student worked and his/her personal impressions.
Many students are hired as a full-time employees upon the successful completion of internship.
- All internships are unpaid.
- Internships/practicums are graded on a 100 point scale, which includes grades for performance, attendance, and presentation of the report.
