WESTERN UNIVERSITY STARTED TO APPLY UNIBOOK - THE INFORMATION SYSTEM OF EDUCATION
Today has been signed agreement with the leading Azerbaijani technology company "Neuron Technologies” in the new building of the Western University that is supplied by modern equipment. It is provided to the introduction of "Unibook" education information management system based on progressive world technology. The contract was signed by Rector of Western University Andris Leitas and General Director of Neuron Technologies Ismail Alakbarov.
Rector of the Western University, Professor A.Leitas informed about the recent projects and achievements of the university and emphasized that the submission of this system is a continuation of the work on strengthening the infrastructure.
"Unibook" intends the creation of an electronic database of students and teachers within the framework of the university's e-learning platform, electronic governance of teaching and learning content, electronic assessment, electronic exam, interactive forum and communication, human resources management, scholarship calculation and other subsystems. Students will be able to access materials of any subject in a single information environment through the unibook e-learning system that combines teaching structures, automated subsystems, and will be able to get acquainted with teachers' lectures.
All students and teachers will have access to the online system, and each user will have a special password. Students will be able to learn any information, including Unibook. On the online system, all information about the university, lesson schedules, subject programs, electronic resources will be posted.
The introduction of electronic information and management systems will contribute to the formation of a new educational management system based on the latest information technologies at the Western University.
