Gender Research Center (GRC) was created as a non-commercial public association at Western University.
The main mission of GRC is
The GRC units scientists and lecturers who develop gender approach in different social and humanitarian disciplines (philosophy, economic theory, law, history, psychology, sociology, political sciences, cultural study). The GRC consists of 42 teachers and researchers, who represent 11 higher educational institutions of Azerbaijan Republic, and National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan. The GRC’s activity is carried out in the following main directions:

Conduction of women and gender researches, integration of gender theory in social and humanitarian sciences
