International Relations Department
The International Relations Office (IRD) at Western University was established in 1991 with an objective of establishment, maintenance and progress of the international affairs of Western University which ought to result in the improvement of education , methods of management, qualification of teachers, contents of curriculums, means, procedures and in whole educational process in accordance with international standards.
IRD has an extensive spectrum of the duties directly connected with the objectives of the further progress of Western University. All international activities of the University are carried out by the IRD. Broad range of activities of the Office includes the following:

participation of the University in various international projects

recruitment of professionals from abroad interested in teaching at Western University

keeping the University community up-to-date on various international conferences, workshops, and projects. (IRO provides information about student and teacher exchanges with foreign universities, colleges, continuing education abroad, the opportunities of joint research projects)
